Atlanta, Georgia Apr 24, 2022 (Issuewire.com) – Rap, Hip hop, and R&B artist J Young MDK’s show in Atlanta will complete Latto’s 777 Monster Energy Outbreak Tour with a live stream presented by Rotation. It will feature Latto, Saucy Santana, Kali, Asianae & J Young MDK.
The tour was launched on March 19 in Santa Cruz, California. It included more than a dozen stops throughout the West Coast, Midwest, and East Coast, wrapping up with a “homecoming” performance in Atlanta on April 23 at the Tabernacle. Both J Young MDK and Latto consider Atlanta their hometown.
“I wish it wouldn’t end. We had so much fun seeing so many cities and spending time with the fans,” he said. “The whole experience was dope.”
Most of the venues along the tour were sold out well in advance, including Seattle, Brooklyn, and Atlanta.
Along with Latto and J Young MDK, special guest artists joined them at different points on the tour including, Saucy Santana, Kali, Asianae, Sleepy Hallow, and London Hill.
This particular tour is in the books, but J Young MDK is slated for more performances.
He also has plans to release new music this year, including his upcoming album, “Forever Young.”
In early April, during the tour, he released a new single, “Slow Motion,” which reached No. 58 on the iTunes Top 100 R&B chart on its first day.
He’s currently co-writing songs with AB and Young Thug. Later this year he plans on releasing a remix of his earlier hit, “Vibe On Me,” featuring Jacquees.
J Young MDK has been performing regularly since winning a freestyle radio contest as a teen.
He’s already released four albums which can be found on most streaming platforms.
These albums include “Now or Never,” which received more than 100,000 streams in its first week, followed by “Black,” “White,” and “Aqua.”
He made musical history in 2020 by releasing “Black” and “Aqua” in one day. ‘Aqua’ is the R&B album and ‘Black’ is the rap album. He followed both of these up with “White,” which is an alternative album.
J Young MDK has also acted in several movies and television series, including Tupac Shakur’s biopic: All Eyez on Me and Netflix’s The App That Stole Christmas.
Although pandemic limited performances, he was still able to line up shows, including a performance at an official Super Bowl after-party in 2021.
He’s also an ambassador for the American Diabetes Association and enjoys encouraging the public to learn more about this condition, which he deals with himself.
